Paralegal – Medical Malpractice

Position: Paralegal – Medical Malpractice
Location: Kansas City, MO (In-Person)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $60,000 – $70,000
Expected Hours: 40 per week

Overview:

One of Kansas City’s most respected law firms is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to add to its growing team. Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate and 3+ years of litigation experience. Medical Malpractice experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• E-filing with state and federal courts
• File management
• Drafting simple motions, pleadings, notices, and other legal documents and correspondence
• Gather documents, exhibits, charts, and binders for trial and hearing preparations
• Producing medical and litigation chronologies
• Docket incoming court dates
• Perform other tasks as needed for litigation team

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 3 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail.
