Litigation Paralegal

Position: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Overland Park, KS (In-Person)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $55,000 – $65,000
Expected Hours: 40 per week

Overview:

One of Kansas City’s finest law firms is seeking an experienced paralegal to add to its medical malpractice defense team. This is a very active practice with a challenging caseload. A college degree or paralegal certificate is preferred, with candidates who have litigation experience being particularly favored.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medical records acquisition, organization, summarization
• Trial preparation
• Preparation of records and deposition subpoenas
• Assisting with discovery-related needs
• Abstracting/summarizing medical records
• Research, contact and retain various medical experts

Requirements:

• Experience preparing medical chronologies
• Solid writing skills and ability to do research
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Familiarity with E-filing

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
