Position: Controller – Construction
Location: Kansas City, MO (In-Person)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $180,000 – $200,000
Expected Hours: 40 per week

The Controller will be responsible for a variety of duties that include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the daily management of all accounting operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead a talented accounting team to achieve exceptional results.
• Oversee and streamline the accounts payable and accounts receivable process.
• Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled meticulously.
• Process monthly financial statements that guide decision-making.
• Manage monthly union reporting and all associated tax filings with precision.
• Facilitate the certificate of insurance process seamlessly.
• Prepare and process payroll, with particular attention to union payroll requirements.
• Record journal entries for month-end closing and generate comprehensive financial reports.
• Oversee the timely renewal of business licenses.
• Complete sales, use, payroll tax, and other essential reports with diligence.
• Tackle any additional needs and challenges that may arise with proactive solutions.

Requirements:

• 7+ year of experience as a Controller
• Construction and Union experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Timberline, Computerease, Foundation, or similar software preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
