Controller/CFO – Real Estate

Position: Controller/CFO – Real Estate 
Location: Overland Park, KS (In-Person)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $150,000 – $190,000
Expected Hours: 40 per week


Overview:

A prestigious real estate firm in Overland Park is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Controller/CFO to join their team. This roles comes with exceptions benefits and the opportunity to make a significant impact!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation and insightful analysis of the financial statements.
  • Ensuring stringent compliance with federal and state tax regulation for the stakeholders and lenders.
  • Managing vital treasury functions, including proactive cash flow forecasting.
  • Assisting in the strategic planning and execution of cash, capital, and resource allocation.
  • Leading the budgeting process while closely monitoring cost control measures.
  • Supervising payroll processing to guarantee accuracy in employee compensation.
  • Negotiating favorable contacts and agreements with contractors, tenants, lenders, banks, and tax consultants.
  • Coordinating audits and reviews with our trusted external CPA firm.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Controller or CFO.
  • Experience in the real estate sector is strongly desirable.
  • CPA certification is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Preferred)
